IPR ( Impromptu Permission Request ) Guidelines
IPR ( Impromptu Permission Request ) Guidelines
All,
As our team has become so famous for sudden unplanned permissions and leaves,
Introducing this Semi-Automated process to fast-approve/fast-reject your sudden permissions & leaves.
For Permissions & Leaves, instead of ICR - Impromptu Call Request,
Send this IPR - Impromptu Permission Request with these clarifications, as Voice Note to me :
1. Permission or Leave?
2. How long, you need? (in Hrs for Permission / Days for Leave)
3. For what purpose?
4. From what (date and) time to what (date and) time, you need this sudden permission / leave? If possible, give us 2 time-slot options to choose.
5. Whether your already committed deliverables will be impacted, because of this sudden unplanned permission or leave request?
6. Whether those deliverables are the critical path deliverables? i.e. Its not a parallel task and Delay on this will cause the Delay of the Overall Project.
7. How will you balance the impact on your deliverables, because of your sudden unavailability?
8. Apart from your own tasks, Is there any internal or external dependency on you during that (date and) time of your unavailability?
9. Whether these internal/external dependencies on you are Critical Path tasks in nature? i.e. Its not a parallel task and Delay on this will cause the Delay of the Overall Project.
10. How will you balance the impact of your sudden unavailability on other's deliverables due to the dependencies with you?
Instructions :
1. In such cases of sudden permission/leave, Ensure to update the current status of your already assigned tasks, as TSU - Temporary Status Update
2. Proactively update your availability to your reporting person, before you restarting the work - once you're back. If s/he is unavailable to attend your call, leave a voice msg (not text message) and continue your work from the TSU status.
